Barbara is an award–winning communications and PR leader with a 20-year track record of driving measurable results and lasting value for a wide variety of clients. Leveraging her extensive experience in corporate and nonprofit communications, consumer PR, and broadcast journalism, she develops innovative, creative strategies and solutions tailored to each client. Barbara has been honored as a Working Mother of the Year and a Champion of PR. Barbara is currently a strategic communications consultant to C-suite executives, Fortune Global 500 companies and nonprofits. Her strategies have successfully positioned executives as thought leaders, advanced business objectives, enhanced employee engagement, and mitigated crises. Before launching her communications consultancy, Barbara was SVP, Head of Internal and External Corporate Communications at Digitas, a premier global advertising and marketing agency with over 6,000 employees. During her nine – year tenure at the agency, she secured over 1,000 positive feature stories citing Digitas’ work, wins, and talent in top – tier business and trade publications and created and launched the NewFronts, the first and largest marketplace for digital video content. Barbara is passionate about using communications strategies to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. Prior to Digitas, Barbara led communications for the nonprofit Gulf Coast Fund for Ecological & Community Renewal. She also developed and executed an award–winning campaign to raise awareness about teen dating violence.
